Pregnancy Journal: Second Trimester & Covid-19 Situation

Hello everyone!

I updated my blog again! I renewed the domain since I am currently on emergency leave from Flight Attendant duties due to my pregnancy. I feel unsafe flying as of the moment. Everyone knows what's going on as we are shaken by this COVID-19. I wanted to contribute something for society even for a little by helping everyone to stay home, do social distancing and making sure that I wash my hands wherever and whenever I can. It is really important that we comply to the heed of the government and our health expert to flatten the curve. I decided to write something and get myself productive for the coming days since self quarantine at home is needed. I also want to share the progress of my pregnancy and update you all about it. Before I start to what are my precautions during this events I wanted to share the progress of my pregnancy. We're now at 26 weeks and 3 days, my baby Muthart is a size of an acorn squash. This is my third and successful pregnancy and I can't be more happier, though I still mourn and ache after loosing my second last year. My little angel will remain in my heart forever. Good things comes for those who patiently wait and God finally answered our prayers after receiving wonderful news that we're pregnant again. I embrace every second of  it! My husband and I are definitely thrilled and excited. We also found out that our baby's gender is a BOY! It is truly a blessing to have this little life within me. I've always wanted to have a boy and so does my husband. I always want to have a big brother or sister and maybe that's why God answered my prayers. I believe I've been a good big sister to my two brothers as I support both of them up until now. I mean either is also good because we will love the baby no matter what. I feel like having a boy as my first born, he will be protective for those he love. I see him as adventurous as I am and funny as his dad. Baby Muthart is everything my husband and I prayed for. As he grows each day inside my womb, I feel his every movement I can't help but love him more and more. I cannot wait to meet and we only have 14 weeks to go. Something to look forward to this year.

Since this is my first baby, my expectation is quite high. Yep! I want everything to be ready and prepared. I already have the idea of what my baby's room will be like and slowly putting things up. I started buying little by little like his clothes, mittens, the basic stuff. It is very convenient to put up a baby registry which you can help us by clicking this link 👉 Baby Muthart Registry
It help us to know the important things we need before and after the baby comes. My fear, mostly goes to the baby's health, the giving birth, how much is the pain I can handle? Luckily, we have this technology to get information by the touch of our finger, the DO's and DONT'S, what to avoid and whats good for you. One of the things I'm afraid of is preterm labor, I am doing the best I can to not be in that situation that's why I follow the midwife's advice. I am also using what to expect app that share a lot of information about pregnancy and you can have it on your phone by clicking this link
👉What To Expect App it makes the pregnancy go smoothly. We all have different methods, ways and since it is my first I learn as I go as well.

As a soon-to-be first time mom, these are my expectations, my fear, my pre-cautions during this hour of uncertainty. As you all know a lot of things happened ever since day 1 of 2020 and we're not even half way to the year. But I believe that there's still good in everything, we will surpass this like any other obstacles through the years. We just deal with things differently and it is very understandable. As soon as COVID-19 hit the news and shaken the world the first thing comes to my mind is how will I protect my baby and myself from getting infected as pregnancy makes our body vulnerable to any sickness. Our immune system goes weak and its is advisable to eat healthy, drink your vitamins, do your regular exercise to make meet ends. I didn't hesitate to take my leave to avoid it. Maybe I don't get infected, maybe I'm a carrier and get other infected. We're living in uncertainty and one thing we can do is to help others flatten the curve. What are my pre-cautions? Both me and my husband are vulnerable, my husband has asthma so we're trying to avoid crowded place by staying home. But here are my list:

1. Check CDC site for more information about the virus. There's always new information about the virus.
2. I already took my leave for safety. I don't want to regret getting infected or infecting someone as I am a flight attendant.
3. If you're feeling the symptoms don't hesitate to go and get tested.
4. Always wash your hands. Avoid touching nose, mouth and eyes.
5. I sanitize everything our hands touches like door knobs, kitchen counter, tables etc.
6. Cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
7. Please if you're travelling to another state that has a high volume of COVID-19 infection follow the rules and self quarantine yourself for 14 days. Help yourself and help others!
8. Use mask only when you have a flu to contain it.
9. If working its okay to use gloves and must change it frequently
10. Always keep safe and be safe!

That's all for now. I will try not to be lazy and creating more blogs. I do update regularly in my instagram and twitter. I also have a youtube channel nothing for entertainment only.

xoxo,
