Easter Happenings

Hia!

How's Easter? Did everyone went home to celebrate with family? Did you find all those egg treats? Hopefully you find a bunch. I have some few stories to share about my first Easter celebration. I mean in the Philippines Easter is not that common to celebrate, but we all know why we celebrate? If not then I'll share why we celebrate Easter.

Why do we celebrate Easter?
Many Christians celebrate Easter Sunday as the day of Jesus Christ's resurrection, which is written in the New Testament of the Christian bible. According to the Gospel of John in the New Testament, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb where Jesus was buried and found it empty. An angel told her that Jesus had risen.

So Easter is a reminder that Jesus is alive and forever alive.

Me and Nick went down to Kearney, Nebraska to spend Easter with his family. It takes at least 3 hours flight to get there and 3 hours drive to the final destination. It was a delight to have a good weather during our stay there. It will be loads of fun and food for sure.

Nick's mom and dad are very kind and hospitable. Mama Muthart made sure that I ate good and well. Dada Muthart have all the laughter I can get; Molly their little dog always make sure to get her belly rubbed after playing fetch. I think I gain a pound or 2 being there. They made me eat, but my favorite is getting that Reds Peach Ale drink and the sunset. Aside from that I will always be thankful to their kindness.

The Muthart's lake.

Very uncommon to see a can of Malibu ready mix, but this sure are the best and good taste.

This is Molly. She likes squeaky toys and belly rub. She is the sweetest!

Saturday we went to Mama Muthart's Sister for Easter Lunch. They live in Holdrege, Nebraska and it takes an hour to get there. When we arrive, we saw crafted photos of me, nick and my family posted on their front door. My reaction was "Oh my gahd! there's a photo of us on the door!" kind of reaction. Then I'm all over thanking them for that, I keep smiling and took a polaroid photo for remembrance. They sure gave a warm welcome and an effort on something like that, make me love them even more.
Moving on, It is my first time celebrating American Easter tradition and my goodness they made a bunch of food aside from Mama Muthart's carry ons. There's like 8 of us but they made a lot of food enough for 20 to 30 people, my tummy was so thankful, its delicious. The dessert is the best part of course! It was a good experience and family always matters, made me miss my family back in the Philippines. It was fun spending time with them we have good laughs and story to share and I feel like I'm part of the family.

We stayed their for 4 days so I met some of Nick's friends and other people who knows Nick since he is a kid which I don't have any photos of that to share so sorry about that, but yep met them and they're all pretty cool. Another fun, crazy experience that happened to me is getting pulled over by a police in a reason that I didn't yield. It is not fun or crazy so make sure to drive safely. I don't know if that's correct I should check that again. Yes! I got that warning form from the police officer which is now posted in our fridge as my souvenir. That's another first here in America, not really proud of it, but you know when you are watching too much movie and it feels like you are it is pretty neat though. You can never be careful and you can not drive using only your Philippine License which I already know about it. The fact that my license is also expired. 😂

Pop corn and drinks watching the sunset with Dada Muthart.
I'm going to tell you that this photo is an evidence of my clumsiness. Fall hard on the ground!

I am looking forward to more getaway with Nick. He is pretty cool person. Kind and funny, well he makes a lot of humor about everything and he know how to make my heart skip a beat.
Not all guys are the same. I can say that he is one of a kind person.

Be with a guy who will let you be yourself, be with a guy who will do everything to make you happy, be with a guy who is not afraid to show all his flaws and shortcomings, be with a guy who will not tell you "I won't cheat on you", but rather show that you're the only girl in his life and he doesn't need anyone because you are more than enough. Be with a guy who wants to spend the rest of his life with you, be with a guy who will enjoy doing things with you even it is not his forte. Be with a guy who is willing to go with you everywhere even just in the playground.

Be with a guy who appreciate you in so many ways. There's only few guys like this in the world. Not all girls have the same standard or dream guy, but if ever you stumble to someone get to know them first. Nick and I are friends for a long time before we started dating even though we haven't seen each other physically and we get into a few obstacles in life we both believe that God has it plans for us, we just have to wait and let it happen.

I know all of us will find true love. I always believe that there is someone for everybody, their better half as we called them. If you experience heart broken before then that person is not for you. He or she is out there waiting too. Waiting for the right time.

It seems people still buy this kind of suit. Nick looks like he is from the 70's or 80's except the flip flops. We went out shopping with his mom and we saw this so might try and take some photo op.

Stay in love folks and remember keep that faith. Good things come to those who patiently wait!

XOXO
