Wednesday Fever: Marriagehood
Hello folks! Another fever and another vlog are out, I'll be posting the link and video here and please do check it out! 😉
I posted on my Facebook that I'll be sharing my experience, our experiences being in the life of marriage-hood! It's been 5 months now since Husband and I got married. It was a delightful relationship with ups and downs of course. There are things that we cannot avoid, but we are learning together. Experiencing this wonderful thing for the first time it is something that I wanted to treasure, being with my husband is what I'm always thankful for. I've prayed for this to God for such a long time and it is indeed an answered prayer.
We all have different experiences when it comes to marriage. All I know and understand is that both individuals have different contribution to make the relationship last a lifetime. In my own point of view and perception and opinion and not because religion I don't believe in DIVORCE. Let me put a verse here that will help to explain why:
"What therefore God
has joined together,
let not man separate.”
~Mark 10:9
and there's another verse that also stated every time someone commemorates two individuals on their wedding day:
"So they are no longer two but one flesh.
What therefore God has joined together,
let not man separate.”
~Matthew 19:6
Nick and I are no longer two separate people and can do things the way we do when we were single. We work as one now, we still individuals and we still do things not hugging another person's time, attention, etc. We gave each other ALONE TIME. But, we work together as a couple to get through in life. Every decision that will affect us is needed to be consulted, we actually talked about how well things will work out best for us. Communication and understanding are needed.
We disagree with most of the things sometimes, well not all things and not always. We both know we are still learning each other ways (culture-wise and different upbringing only have a slight brush of it) and I believe it goes on until we get old. But that's the fun part, we discover more new things about us, it is like creating our own culture and upbringing for each other. I think good communication is not only the key to a successful marriage. Since we both have a different perception of things we have to make sure that both of us can explain our side. Then we can conclude something before closing the topic. I cannot explain further how marriage should work, there's a lot of books, advisor, you can search it on the internet on how coping up with marriage, but actually, you will know that within the marriage itself. Yes, we need a reference, we need to seek help sometimes, we research because we wanted to know more about it. For me, it is something I wanted to DISCOVER with my partner, I want to LEARN from him and vice versa, SHARE things even we are different, LISTEN to each other, SUPPORT is also needed, and of course LOVE. I know not all will agree, but I always believe that LOVE is the glue to everything, that's the fire for it. There's actually a lot when you try to sum everything. But one very important for us is that the marriage is GOD-center.
That's all for today. Below is the link to THE MUTHARTS vlog!
