Spring Update: Festivals, Road Trips, and Big Changes!

It has been quite a while since my last post in January! Life has been moving fast, and while we’ve been quiet on the blog, we certainly haven't been sitting still. We’ve been busy exploring our own "backyard" here in Florida and making some big decisions for the future.

Local Traditions: The Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival

We kicked off the year by heading to the Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival. There’s nothing like a local fair to remind you why we love living on the Treasure Coast! It was a weekend full of carnival rides, live music, and—of course—some very unique food. It’s always a highlight to see the community come together like that.

A Weekend in Orlando

In February, we packed our bags for a quick family getaway to Orlando. We stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott and squeezed every bit of fun out of the weekend:

  • Splashing Around: We spent a day at Aquatica, which was the perfect break from the humidity.

  • CityWalk & Old Town: We hit Universal CityWalk for the energy and then headed over to Old Town in Celebration. There’s something so nostalgic about the classic car shows and the old-school Florida vibe there.

Big News: A New Chapter for Lincoln

The biggest update I have is regarding Lincoln’s education. We’ve done a lot of thinking about what’s best for his learning style, and we’ve officially decided to enroll him in the Vero Beach Academy’s At-Home Learning Program for the 2026-2027 school year!

We are so excited about the flexibility this will give us to learn at our own pace and maybe even incorporate more of our travels into his "classroom."

What’s Next?

Now that the weather is warming up, we’re looking forward to more time on the boat and getting the garden in order. I’m also starting to look ahead to our big family cruise coming up this October—but more on that later!

Thanks for sticking around and catching up with us. It’s going to be a big year!
